Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Panels
PV or Photovoltaic solar panels are basically used to generate electricity.
They do so by collecting light during daylight hours and converting it into electricity. The light which shines on the PV array creates an electric field causing electricity to flow. The brighter the daylight, the greater the flow of electricity.
Solar PV can be installed on new domestic dwellings, for Part L of new building regulations, retrofitted on existing dwellings and on commercial buildings to reduce their energy usage from the grid and also lowering C02 emissions.
